DMSELPA Local Plan

The function of the D/M SELPA and participating Local Education Agencies (LEAs) is to provide quality educational programs and services appropriate to the needs of each eligible child with a disability who is enrolled within the D/M SELPA. The Responsible Local Agency (RLA) Superintendent, LEA Superintendents and CEOs of the LEA Charter Schools are responsible for the management and supervision of all special education program operations within the D/M SELPA. All programs are to be operated in a manner consistent with the funding provisions of Education Code, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), other applicable laws and the SELPA policies and procedures.

LOCAL PLAN

The Local Plan is a joint effort of participating LEAs within the D/M SELPA, who join together for the purpose of adopting a plan for providing access to quality educational programs and services appropriate to the needs of each eligible student with a disability enrolled within the D/M SELPA region. The Local Plan describes how services for students with exceptional needs are provided through Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPAs).
